Project Engineer

Imagine a future where you help shape the engineering behind utility-scale renewable energy projects.

Join us in this role where you’ll manage engineering activities across the lifecycle of onshore wind, solar, and battery storage projects. You’ll coordinate internal and external engineering resources, identify and mitigate technical risks, and provide engineering support from development and design through construction and commissioning.

Welcome to Project Engineering

You’ll be part of Project Engineering where you, together with your colleagues, will provide technical and engineering support for the development and delivery of commercial-scale renewable energy projects. You’ll work closely with Development, Origination, Interconnection, Construction, Procurement, QHSE, and other engineering disciplines. As a team, we collaborate across disciplines to solve complex technical challenges, share knowledge, and deliver safe, high-quality renewable energy projects.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • managing engineering design activities with internal teams, engineering consultants, EPC contractors, and other external partners
  • supporting preliminary plant design, layouts, energy assessments, single-line diagrams, equipment selection, optimization, and cost estimation
  • managing technical studies and engineering deliverables, including geotechnical, geophysical, hydrology, civil, electrical, structural, and SCADA scopes
  • identifying technical risks and supporting due diligence, permitting, interconnection, procurement, contracting, and project development activities reviewing engineering designs and design packages, including 30%, 60%, 90%, IFC, and as-built documentation, with a focus on safety and quality
  • supporting construction and commissioning by addressing engineering matters, design changes, quality and performance documentation, and root-cause analysis.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a bachelor’s or technical degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • bring relevant experience in renewable energy, including solar, wind, and/or battery storage, or another relevant industry
  • understand the design and operation of renewable energy projects and have a broad technical understanding of project requirements
  • have experience managing projects and coordinating multiple technical workstreams, stakeholders, and priorities
  • communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • approach complex technical challenges proactively, with strong attention to detail and a focus on practical solutions.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
