Data & Process Specialist at Avedøre Power Station

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible of collecting and processing data from our energy assets and carbon capture units at Avedøreværket. We’re undertaking a digitalization and modernization effort to automate, improve, and standardize our data processing to ensure high data quality.

Welcome to Bioenergy
You’ll be part of Data & Application where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for environmental and non-financial calculations for regulatory reporting, customer settlement and internal ESG reporting for Ørsted’s Danish combined heat and power plants. We have workplaces in Skærbæk, Gentofte, and at Avedøreværket, and we visit our energy assets on site when needed. Data & Application is part of Digitalisation & Technology, offering a collaborative environment with passionate and skilled colleagues. As a team, we are in close dialogue with colleagues across the organization. We work hybrid: daily coordination on MS Teams and physical workplaces at Avedøreværket, on other sites, or from home depending on need.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • being data responsible for Avedøreværket — ensuring relevant data is available for reporting and settlement
  • utilizing technical insight to ensure complete, correct & validated data
  • ensuring CO2 emissions are documented systematically and supported by accurate, traceable data and robust procedures, in compliance with relevant laws and legislations
  • ensuring accurate and consistent emissions reporting and compliance through procedures and systematic documentation
  • participating in process optimization incl. knowledge sharing across the team.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • possess a highly curious and analytical mindset, with a strong interest in process engineering and data reporting
  • enjoy combining practical understanding of energy assets with data analysis. Your educational background can be within engineering, operation and maintenance engineering, data science, mathematics, or computer science - or equivalent
  • strive by handling multiple tasks simultaneously with a proactively and systematically approach
  • possess strong numerical skills and are perseverant in finding solutions to tasks given
  • strive by working both independently as well as part of a team
  • need to be fluent in Danish and English both verbally and in writing due to our stakeholder landscape.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
