Head of Mechanical & Electrical Systems

Join us in this role where you’ll be Head of the Mechanical and Electrical Systems Department. The main task is to develop and motivate the team of 15 direct reports to build up knowledge and bring it into play in maintenance project execution, R&D projects, optimization projects, CAPEX projects and operational support on our power plants in Denmark. You’ll always have a focus on that team well-being goes hand in hand with safety, sustainability and performance excellence.

You’ll be part of the management team of 12 managers of Digitalisation & Technology in Bioenergy where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure the optimal frames for our technical experts to secure that Digitalization & Technology continues as an organisation that retains and attracts talents as well as act as a service-minded expertise centre in Bioenergy. The Mechanical and Electrical Department covers areas such as transport systems, combustion, turbines, boilers, piping, pumps and valves, corrosion and materials, electric systems, etc.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • Serving as a people manager with focus on high team spirit, motivation, cooperation, development, knowledge sharing and performance
  • Ensuring that the department contribute to be a service-minded expertise centre in Bioenergy
  • Ensuring that resources and competencies in the department matches the needs from the business
  • Ensuring results on core tasks such as maintenance project execution, R&D work, optimization projects, CAPEX projects as well as operational support
  • Lead improvement in the department when it comes to work processes
  • Setup and follow-up on department and individual goals for the department that matches the strategy of Bioenergy.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • Have a technical background within mechanical or electrical engineering field and hold experience from power plants
  • Possess experience with people management and can motivate, develop and lead a team of highly skilled engineers
  • Have analytical and systematic flair to understand and communicate complex technical issues
  • Is an open person who is motivated by a job where high levels of professionalism, business with many tasks and fun goes hand in hand
  • Understands how to balance short-term and long-term focus as well as detailed and helicopter view
