Operations & Maintenance Team Lead

Imagine a future where you lead a frontline team delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality offshore operations and maintenance

Join us in this role where you’ll lead a team of maintenance technicians and turn site plans into safe, effective daily and weekly execution. You’ll coordinate people, vessels, tools, materials, and contractors, while developing your team and supporting reliable asset performance.

Welcome to Generation UK

You’ll be part of the site Operations & Maintenance team where you, together with your colleagues, will deliver planned and corrective maintenance across the assigned site. You’ll work closely with the Operations & Maintenance Manager, Planning, Engineering, QHSE, Remote Diagnostics, Logistics, and contractors. As a team, we put safety first, communicate openly, and learn from every job to improve performance together.

You’ll play an important role in:

•  leading the safe and effective execution and closure of planned and corrective maintenance, including documentation, feedback, and escalation

•  providing visible frontline and offshore safety leadership, ensuring work follows safe systems, Wind Turbine Safety Rules, quality standards, and site requirements

•  leading, coaching, and developing maintenance technicians through clear objectives, regular feedback, competence development, wellbeing support, and succession planning

•  coordinating operational readiness, including work packages, people, vessels, tools, materials, site restrictions, contractors, and pre-job briefings

•  monitoring daily and weekly execution, backlog, downtime, rework, repeat defects, incidents, observations, and corrective actions, and escalating risks promptly

•  ensuring accurate work management and reporting in SAP and associated operational systems, while working with Planning, Engineering, and Remote Diagnostics to improve reliability.

To succeed in the role, you:

•  have experience leading and developing teams in an operational, maintenance, engineering, utilities, or similarly safety-critical environment

•  understand safe systems of work, operational compliance, and the importance of visible, consistent safety leadership

•  can coordinate complex operational activities, balance competing priorities, and make sound day-to-day decisions

•  communicate clearly and build effective relationships with technicians, planners, engineers, contractors, and other site stakeholders

•  use performance information and operational feedback to solve problems, improve execution, and support reliable asset performance

•  bring relevant technical training, a leadership qualification, or equivalent experience; offshore wind experience and NEBOSH, IOSH, or CMI training would be beneficial.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
