Wind Turbine Technician HV Specialist - Nearshore Operations

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for performing predetermined high-voltage (up to 66kv) electrical maintenance and servicing on offshore wind turbines. This role ensures the safe and efficient execution of maintenance tasks, focusing on HV (high voltage) systems, in compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. You will support the HV Offshore Manager in delivering operational excellence and team development, while maintaining a strong safety culture

You’ll be part of UK West Nearshore Operations where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in HV maintenance.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • perform scheduled HV electrical maintenance, testing, and inspection tasks on offshore wind turbines as per the predetermined maintenance plan
  • execute maintenance on HV switchgear, transformers, cables, and other HV equipment, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety
  • assist with HV switching operations, including isolation and earthing, in line with Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR), HV safety rules, and internal procedures
  • support the Offshore Manager in preparing maintenance schedules, ensuring that all tasks align with operational priorities and resource availability
  • ensure all HV maintenance activities comply with WTSR, HV safety rules, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, and company safety policies
  • conduct risk assessments and contribute to the preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for HV tasks.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have significant experience in HV electrical maintenance, preferably in offshore wind, oil & gas, or energy sectors
  • possess comprehensive knowledge of HV systems, including switchgear, transformers, cables, and earthing systems
  • have a strong understanding of Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR), HV safety rules, HSE regulations, and safety protocols for HV operations
  • demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • exhibit a proactive, can-do attitude, with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
