Join us in this role where you’ll help build a robust compliance program to ensure the implementation of operation and planning best practices to sustain reliable and compliant operations for a large and diverse fleet of renewable energy assets. You’ll collaborate closely with subject matter experts to ensure that NERC O&P requirements are understood and incorporated into design and operational practices that are capable of producing substantive compliance documentation for internal and external oversight.

You’ll be part of NERC Compliance where you, together with your colleagues, will lead the growth and maturation of a NERC compliance program, collaborating with multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements and principles are ingrained in asset design and operational practices. You’ll help drive process improvements and internal controls to ensure assets maintain compliance on an ongoing basis and support subject matter experts in demonstrating compliance for regulators.

As a team, we leverage our varied backgrounds and skillsets to learn from and support each other on complex tasks. We collaborate across multiple locations and encourage the development of subject matter expertise.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure timely provision of compliance deliverables e.g., Requests for Information (RFI), incl. records, reports, and responses
  • evaluating NERC standards and requirements to assess applicability and relevance
  • reviewing compliance documentation and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable requirements and obligations
  • developing program level processes, templates, and internal controls to ensure compliance obligations are sufficiently maintained and monitored
  • assisting in NERC Compliance investigations, incl. implementation of mitigation and recommendations.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are decisive and judicious in demanding situations, incl. escalation to others when necessary
  • have knowledge of NERC O&P standards
  • have strong collaboration and communication skills and the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
  • have the ability to work independently, manage your time, and prioritize and address tasks in a proactive manner
  • have experience with NERC compliance, power systems, renewable energy, or related fields.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
