As a team, we collaborate with trust, curiosity, and a shared commitment to shaping policies that enable a greener future.

  • engaging proactively with EU institutions and relevant agencies to inform implications and influence outcomes

  • representing Ørsted in industry associations, alliances, and stakeholder platforms, such as WindEurope and Eurelectric

  • developing and delivering advocacy positions, policy papers, briefings, and consultation responses

  • advising internal teams on EU regulatory risks, opportunities, and market design topics, ensuring alignment across EU and Member State advocacy.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • strong experience working with EU policy making, preferably within the energy sector

  • demonstrate strong understanding of EU energy and climate policy frameworks, such as Fit for 55, TEN E, Clean Industrial Deal, Electricity Market Design and industrial and trade policy and state aid.

  • have experience engaging directly with or in EU institutions, committees, or legislative processes

  • knowledge of EU policy or legislation, ideally from Brussels-based roles

  • bring insight into industry associations and coalitions, and how they shape regulatory outcomes

  • communicate complex regulatory matters clearly and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • business-fluent English is required; additional languages are an advantage.

This role includes occasional business travel, with an expected requirement to visit locations in Europe approximately once per month.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
