Senior Financial Accountant

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for the monthly financial reporting and day-to-day finance operations for a portfolio of companies within our growing Onshore business in Ireland. You’ll play a key role in driving financial accuracy, supporting business performance, and ensuring compliance with local and group reporting requirements.

Welcome to Onshore Europe Finance
You’ll be part of Financial Controlling Ireland where you, together with your colleagues, will manage financial reporting, audits, and compliance for our Irish onshore wind operations. The team works closely with commercial, operational, and global finance colleagues to support our strategic growth in the region. As a team, we we value collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • managing month-end close activities, including journals and reconciliations, in line with the financial calendar
  • analysing financial performance and identifying trends to support business decisions
  • ensuring robust accounting controls and resolving reconciliation exceptions
  • coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • leading year-end audits and supporting tax compliance in collaboration with the Tax team
  • driving process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are a qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent experience) with strong technical accounting knowledge
  • have experience in statutory and group reporting, including FRS101 and IFRS
  • are confident preparing journals, reconciliations, and managing closing processes
  • have experience supporting external audits and preparing audit-ready documentation
  • are proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and in teams
  • are skilled in ERP systems (SAP is a plus), Excel, and financial reporting tools.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
