Trader

Join us in this role where you’ll actively trade our onshore renewable assets and green energy positions in the Irish power market. You’ll be part of a 365-day trading roster, helping to optimise our portfolio and improve trading performance through strategy development and collaboration across teams.

Welcome to Onshore Europe
You’ll be part of Trading and Data Analytics where you, together with your colleagues, will optimise our renewable generation, develop trading strategies, and collaborate across IT, Wind Farm Operations, and Settlement. As a team, we focus on understanding our assets, improving trading performance, and developing new ideas that strengthen both our commercial results and our contribution to a greener energy future.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • participating in the 365-days-a-year trading roster as part of a 6:30 am 6:30 pm shift rotation
  • trading our renewable assets and supply positions in the power market and rebalance them close to delivery
  • executing, designing and improving trading strategies in the ex-ante and intraday market
  • monitoring our risk and ensuring compliance with rules and regulations.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have an understanding of energy markets and financial products
  • have experience in trading in the Irish market or other European power markets, or the ambition to learn quickly
  • think analytically, make decisions quickly, and back your ideas with data
  • are comfortable taking calculated risks to optimise portfolio performance
  • enjoy working in a collaborative team, sharing insights, and learning from others.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
