Duties:

  • Provide support to offshore windfarm projects, including overseeing wind turbine technicians to ensure safety, quality, and operational productivity.
  • Prepare and review maintenance tasks and documentation for wind power installations.
  • Provide remote and in-person support and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components for Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) and offshore substations.
  • Prepare work orders and materials for WTG repair and maintenance.
  • Ensure a consistent, high level of quality, efficiency, and safety of wind turbines and associated offshore structures with teams of technicians carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance.
  • Ensure that technicians deliver maintenance in line with expected schedule, and report reasons and drivers for any delays to relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee Balance of Plant (BoP) teams and manage all BoP issues, certifications, and notifications.
  • Serve as first point-of-contact offshore for Operations Managers and provide offshore coordination and planning/scheduling for members of the general site team.
  • Lead safety planning and scheduling for day-to-day operational activities.
  • Work with a team of wind turbine technicians in 12-hour shifts on a 2-week rotation basis.
  • Requires up to 15% domestic travel and 5% foreign travel.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in job offered or similar occupation in offshore wind industry.
  • At least 4 years of experience in the service, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and/or electrical machinery.
  • At least 3 years of experience with SGRE DD turbines, including troubleshooting issues.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP, Site Monitoring Center (SMC) Scheduling Cockpit, Synergi, and Wind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR).
  • Certified as a Wind Turbine Authorizing Engineer.
