Senior Land Manager Onshore

Join us in this role where you’ll lead the engagement with landowners and communities to help originate new renewable energy projects and build on existing relationships where there is an established presence.

Welcome to Project Development
You’ll be part of Project Development UK where you, together with your colleagues, will lead one of three key disciplines in the OLE Life Cycle: Origination, Land, or Estates within the UK and Ireland. You’ll manage the sourcing of land for development opportunities across a range of Onshore Wind, Solar, BESS and PtX power projects. As a team, we collaborate daily and support each other in our varying tasks required to develop a renewable project. We promote continuous learning and development through team meetings and regular collaboration.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • overseeing land acquisition, management, due diligence, and stakeholder relations, and developing and implementing land assembly and management strategies in the UK and Ireland
  • leading commercial negotiations, dispute resolution, and land contract negotiations, as well as managing payments, consultant management, budgeting, and internal advice
  • supporting the Head of Origination, Land & Estates in optimising, digitalising, and automating OLE working practices
  • providing advice and resources to key internal stakeholders and projects on various renewable energy initiatives
  • building and reinforcing strong relationships with external stakeholders, incl. landowners, solicitors, and land agents
  • maintaining effective communication and transparency of deliverables and risks with all internal stakeholders and ensuring smooth transition of information through the land delivery cycle.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have an excellent understanding of onshore renewable land contracts and legislation, incl. property and land ownership and rights, landlord and tenant, planning, environmental, and access rights, ideally in both UK and Ireland
  • possess significant experience in the acquisition and management of complex land and property interests
  • have demonstrable project management expertise for delivering major projects
  • are familiar with UK and Ireland energy markets, local and national policy, and the commercial rental landscape
  • have a clear perception of the onshore renewables market, emphasising commercial markets and landowner engagement.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
