Specialist Travel Technician

Join us in this role where you’ll carry out specialised inspections, repairs, and technical activities on wind turbine generators, supporting safe, cost‑effective, and high‑quality operations across multiple offshore sites. You’ll combine strong technical expertise with a safety‑first mindset to ensure our assets perform at their best.

Welcome to Offshore Management & Execution

You’ll be part of Special Tasks & Inspections, where you together with your colleagues will deliver specialised wind turbine inspections, repairs, and technical support across Ørsted’s WTG sites. The team plays a key role in turbine condition assessments, ISO 17020 inspections, up‑tower repairs, and technical campaigns that directly impact asset performance, safety, and operational efficiency.

As a team, we work collaboratively across regions, share field experience openly, and support one another to continuously improve how we operate, always with safety, quality, and learning at the centre.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • enforcing a strong HSE culture and safety awareness on site
  • carrying out turbine condition assessments and BSH inspections, including high‑quality reporting
  • performing end‑of‑warranty and WTG component inspections, including documentation and follow‑up
  • ensuring impartiality in all inspections carried out under ISO 17020
  • supporting ISO 17020 accreditation by actively working with relevant manuals and Ørsted’s Impartiality Policy
  • acting as technical or team lead on minor technical projects, campaigns, and site activities.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have extensive technical skills gained from working with offshore wind turbines or equivalent experience
  • bring knowledge of the offshore wind power industry and turbine technologies
  • communicate clearly and produce accurate, structured technical reports
  • are fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • build strong working relationships through a hands‑on, collaborative approach
  • are motivated to maintain and develop the competence level required for the role
  • are proactive and solution-oriented

It’s an advantage if you also bring:

  • relevant OEM authorisations or experience with endoscopic inspections
  • good IT skills.
  • German language skills.

Please note that this role includes worldwide travel as part of a 14/14 rotation scheme.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
