Chief Financial Controller

Imagine a future where your accounting expertise shapes some of the organisation's most critical financial decisions and ensures financial integrity across complex international operations.

Join us in this role where you’ll serve as a recognised authority on technical accounting, financial reporting, and complex business transactions. You'll provide expert guidance on significant accounting judgements, acquisitions, financing arrangements, and regulatory developments, ensuring robust financial reporting and compliance while supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.

Welcome to Group Finance
You’ll be part of the Financial Controlling team where you, together with your colleagues, will deliver high-quality financial reporting, technical accounting expertise, and strong financial governance across a diverse international business. Working closely with Finance, M&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and external auditors, you'll support complex transactions, regulatory requirements, and critical accounting decisions that help drive the business forward.

As a team, we combine deep expertise, curiosity, and collaboration to solve complex challenges and create trusted financial insights that support sustainable growth.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • leading financial controlling activities relating to complex accounting matters, significant estimates, and critical judgements across the organisation
  • acting as a key IFRS expert, providing technical guidance, evaluating accounting implications, and ensuring robust accounting conclusions for complex business activities and transactions
  • assessing the accounting treatment of acquisitions, farm downs, financing arrangements, and other significant commercial agreements, including preparation of technical accounting papers and transaction-related analyses
  • partnering with Corporate Finance, Legal, Tax, Treasury, and external advisors on due diligence activities, business combinations, and strategic transactions
  • serving as the primary technical counterpart to external auditors, resolving complex accounting matters, supporting audit processes, and ensuring high-quality documentation and reporting
  • strengthening financial governance by developing accounting policies, identifying reporting risks, improving controls, and driving consistency across IFRS and local GAAP reporting environments.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • hold a master's degree in accounting, finance, auditing, economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • are a state authorised public accountant, CPA, chartered accountant, ACCA, or hold an equivalent professional qualification
  • bring experience from Big Four audit, technical accounting, financial reporting, financial controlling, or similarly specialised finance environments
  • possess expert knowledge of IFRS and enjoy analysing complex accounting matters, interpreting standards, and applying sound professional judgement to challenging situations
  • have experience supporting acquisitions, business combinations, financing arrangements, and other complex transactions, while balancing technical excellence with commercial awareness
  • communicate confidently with senior leaders, auditors, regulators, and business stakeholders, translating complex accounting topics into clear recommendations and practical solutions.

What sets you apart

You are recognised not because of the size of the teams you lead, but because you are the person others turn to when accounting matters become complex. You combine exceptional technical accounting expertise with sound judgement, intellectual curiosity, and a practical business mindset.

You enjoy navigating ambiguity, challenging assumptions, and influencing important decisions through well-reasoned accounting conclusions. Your credibility, attention to detail, and ability to balance technical requirements with commercial realities enable you to act as a trusted advisor on some of the organisation's most significant accounting, reporting, and transaction-related matters.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
