You’ll be part of Global Communications – Media Relations where you, together with your colleagues, will own Ørsted’s global media strategy and act as the company’s senior counsel on high-stakes communications in media — from financial milestones and regulatory matters to crises, transactions, and industry debates.

As a team, we operate at the heart of executive decision-making, advising senior leadership in real time and ensuring the company’s voice is consistent, credible and compelling across markets.

You’ll play an important role in:

• setting the global media strategy and narrative for Ørsted across corporate, financial, and regulatory topics
• advising the C-suite and senior leaders on sensitive, complex, and market-moving issues
• leading high-stakes press engagement, issues management, and crisis response
• anticipating risks and shape proactive positioning in a rapidly changing energy and policy landscape and building trusted relationships with top-tier international and financial media
• leading and developing a high-performing global media team consisting of 5 advisors with strong standards and sharp prioritisation
• ensuring tight integration across communications, Global Regulatory and Public Affairs, and Investors Relations.

To succeed in the role, you:

• demonstrate significant senior experience in corporate media relations, strategic communications, or journalism at the highest level
• have a track record in advising executives during  high‑stakes situations such as major transactions, crises, restructurings, or regulatory scrutiny
• show the ability to operate independently and make sound decisions in fast‑moving, high-pressure environments
• have a strong understanding of how journalists think, what drives stories, and how to craft narratives that resonate
• thrive in a collaborative, mission‑driven team where you proactively contribute to a positive and high‑performing culture.
