Lead Analytics Platform Developer

Imagine a future where you own and co-develop the analytics platform that helps power trading and revenue decisions, while enabling teams to build with confidence in an inclusive, collaborative environment.

Join us in this role where you’ll be the Business Application Responsible for the Analytics Workspace, a JupyterHub-based platform built on cloud Kubernetes and used across Trading & Revenue. You’ll co-develop the platform with Commercial Digital Technology, guide and test deliveries, and make sure the platform evolves in line with user needs across analytics, algo development, and model development.

Welcome to Analytics
You’ll be part of Data Science & Platforms, one of three teams in Trading & Revenue’s Analytics function, where you, together with your colleagues, will deliver the platforms and products behind trading and revenue decisions. You’ll work closely with quantitative developers, analysts, model developers, and Commercial Digital Technology to shape a reliable, scalable platform that supports both current users and new analytics capabilities. As a team, we value flexibility, experimentation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration. We care about building an inclusive environment where different perspectives help us create better solutions.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • owning the Analytics Workspace on the Trading & Revenue side, ensuring it remains reliable, relevant, and well aligned with business needs

  • co-developing platform capabilities with Commercial Digital Technology through coding, prototyping, reviewing pull requests, and defining acceptance tests

  • enabling strong platform foundations for analytics, algo development, and machine learning use cases, including compute, environments, data access, deployment, logging, and monitoring

  • supporting users through onboarding, day-to-day platform support, and close collaboration with stakeholders across Trading & Revenue

  • maintaining best practices, tools, templates, and ways of working for analytics engineering and the wider analytics community

  • driving the platform roadmap, including improvements, migrations, and adjacent capabilities such as machine learning, streaming and AI tooling.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have strong Python development skills and apply sound engineering practices across testing, packaging, and CI/CD

  • bring hands-on experience with JupyterHub-based platforms, Kubernetes, Airflow and cloud infrastructure in Azure, AWS, or similar environments

  • work confidently across DevOps or MLOps topics and can contribute to platform design, delivery, and operational excellence

  • collaborate well with internal users and external engineering partners, and communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders

  • take ownership, build trust, and stay close to user needs while helping specialist teams contribute and co-own solutions

  • are motivated to grow your understanding of Trading & Revenue analytics, and you bring curiosity, structure, and a practical mindset to complex platform challenges.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
