Lead Business Performance Manager

Imagine a future where you shape how Generation turns business performance insight into action, delivering measurable and lasting value through a world-class improvement portfolio.

Join us in this role where you’ll lead programme governance, portfolio reviews and business performance reporting across our Generation business of more than 10 GW. You’ll connect stakeholders, performance data and improvement initiatives to support effective decision-making and sustainable value creation. Through analytical insight, effective programme management and cross-functional collaboration, you’ll help strengthen business performance and deliver measurable, sustained improvements.

Welcome to Generation

You’ll be part of Generation Performance Management where you, together with your colleagues, will turn business data into performance insight, strengthen performance dialogue and accelerate measurable improvement. You’ll work closely with programme managers, continuous improvement specialists, finance business partners, data owners and senior leaders to strengthen governance and transparency, improve performance reporting and support decision-making across performance units and central functions.

As a team, we succeed as one by promoting curiosity, combining diverse perspectives, supporting each other’s growth, and turning complex challenges into practical solutions that deliver value for the business.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • owning and continuously improving the governance framework for Generation’s Performance Improvement Programme, ensuring clear decision gates, consistent application and effective portfolio oversight.
  • leading global portfolio reviews to resolve dependencies, manage risks, prioritise resources and share knowledge across improvement programmes.
  • driving the end-to-end Business Review Meeting cycle for Generation, ensuring accurate, consistent and timely performance reporting to senior leadership.
  • consolidating operational, financial and programme data into clear insights and recommendations for senior decision-makers.
  • analysing business performance to identify improvement opportunities and supporting the development of new or enhanced performance initiatives.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have experience in programme management, business performance management, continuous improvement, portfolio governance or related disciplines.
  • demonstrate strong analytical capability and can translate complex data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
  • build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and confidently challenge assumptions through a fact-based, solution-oriented approach.
  • have experience coordinating work across multiple functions, balancing competing priorities and driving progress through influence and collaboration.
  • bring a strong understanding of benefits realisation and can establish clear measures to track whether improvement initiatives deliver their intended value.
  • preferably have experience working in energy, infrastructure or another asset-intensive industry.

Maybe you've read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don't quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
