Lead Commercial Analyst

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for modelling, validating, and analysing all Generation cost and availability inputs related to both future and existing wind farms. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality Generation business case inputs based upon asset specific strategies, optimal cost, yield and local engagement without compromising safety.

You’ll be part of the Generation Commercial Optimisation team where you, together with your colleagues, will support the build out of our offshore wind portfolio. You'll be part of a larger team that manages operations business cases from early project assessments to wind farm completion by balancing technical and commercial assumptions to ensure sustainable and competitive growth, while adhering to local frameworks and our overall strategy. You’ll play an important role in:

  • Developing and implementing operationally viable & quality assured business cases from early assessments until decommissioning that are risk mitigated and balance local requirements with optimal operational strategies and market conditions
  • Having a close cooperation and alignment with asset projects, owners, as well as finance and technical experts to identify possible improvement initiatives, increase revenue, decrease risks and ensure compliance
  • Deliver commercial insight and decision-making support to Asset projects and Generations, commitments in partnership and divestments projects to increase revenue and decrease risks
  • Understanding operational best practice and translating it into clear and holistic strategies while focusing on business case optimisation and local value creation
  • Applying simulation models and analysis to assure an optimal correlation of cost and yield in our business cases based on a given risk profile.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • Have minimum 10 years of experience and have demonstrated a structured approach to solving complex problems and the ability to present detailed information in a holistic, summarised way with focus on the main drivers
  • Have a passion to understand the commercial, technical, and operational aspects of an offshore windfarm
  • Can demonstrate solid people influencing skills together with presentation and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across cultures and different geographical locations and time zones
  • Bring your commercial judgement to make decisive and pragmatic recommendations that secure our key strategic and economic aims
  • Thrive in a high-performance and fast-growth environment, where rapid shifts in landscape demand agility and a can-do mentality
  • Have knowledge about the technical and operational aspects of wind farms is a plus.

Position salary range: 

For this role, the base pay will be determined according to the relevant pay structure for the location where the position is filled. Actual pay will be based on skills, experience, and the expected role fulfilment to ensure a fair and competitive offer. Where applicable, you may also be eligible for variable payment and a comprehensive benefits package. Pay details specific to your location will be provided during the interview process.
