Lead Finance Business Partner (Maternity Cover)

Join us in this role where you’ll act as a strategic finance business partner to senior leaders in Trading & Revenue, translating complex financial insights into clear, actionable decisions. You’ll support the business in taking the right decisions for Ørsted by challenging assumptions, ensuring financials reflect business reality, and driving performance by fostering ownership of the numbers. As Finance’s representative, you’ll shape decisions that drive value creation at Ørsted.

 

Welcome to Finance Business Partnering Commercial

You’ll be part of the Commercial Finance Business Partnering team where you, together with your colleagues, will act as strategic finance partners for the business. The team consists of experienced finance professionals working globally across markets, supporting senior leaders with performance management, business case evaluation, and financial decision-making. You will report to the Finance Business Partner to the Head of Global Trading & Revenue and be the Finance Business Partner responsible for several Performance Units in the Trading & Revenue business area.

As a team, we collaborate across regions, share expertise openly, embrace learning, and support each other’s growth through honest feedback, curiosity, and a strong development mindset.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • supporting and challenging the business from a financial, operational and commercial perspective
  • driving performance management together with the business
  • ensuring the business understands and takes ownership for their numbers
  • ensuring that business numbers reflect business reality
  • contributing to the leadership teams in the Performance Units
  • collaborating with Finance functional areas and be the point of contact between the business and other Finance functions
  • signing off financials on behalf of the business once familiar with the role and business.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have strong financial acumen and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • are confident working in a highly technical and specialist area such as Trading & Revenue
  • are comfortable navigating financial complexity and understanding capital structures
  • can challenge assumptions and drive performance through financial stewardship
  • are a skilled collaborator with excellent stakeholder management capabilities
  • are a seasoned professional with a track record in contributing at a senior level, holding a relevant degree in economics, mathematics, or a related field.
