OT Systems Engineer
Imagine a future where you take ownership of the systems that keep offshore wind farms operating safely, securely, and efficiently. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of operational technology, cybersecurity, and innovation, supporting the reliability of critical windfarm support systems across a global portfolio.
Join us in this role where you’ll ensure optimal operation of windfarm support systems for offshore wind farms. You’ll take responsibility for critical systems such as low‑ and voltage utilities, aviation and marine marking systems, weather stations, CCTV, public address and general alarm (PAGA), and HVAC, while contributing to cybersecurity, failure analysis, and lifecycle management activities.
Welcome to Operational Technology (OT) Systems
You’ll be part of the global OT Systems team where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for operating and maintaining the OT infrastructure that supports Ørsted’s offshore wind farms worldwide. Working with specialists across operational technology disciplines, you’ll help ensure system reliability, security, and efficiency across an international setup.
As a team, we work collaboratively across borders, value knowledge‑sharing, and support each other in shaping secure and future‑ready OT solutions for offshore wind.
You’ll play an important role in:
- driving preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including implementation of new components for windfarm support systems
- troubleshooting incidents and performing failure analysis in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- identifying opportunities to apply data analytics and AI‑enabled solutions, such as anomaly detection and predictive maintenance, to improve system reliability and performance
- supporting incident management and ensuring documentation is maintained in the operational environment
- ensuring required cybersecurity standards and controls are implemented and maintained across production site systems
- managing supplier activities to secure system quality and reporting on integrity‑related issues.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have an educational background within electrical or software, or marine engineering, or equivalent experience
- enjoy engaging with people and are self‑driven, organised, and structured in your way of working
- have practical knowledge of windfarm support systems, such as navigation and aviation systems, CCTV, PAGA, weather stations, or ADLS, or equivalent experience
- have experience working in a production environment, preferably within the energy sector or another industrial OT environment
- communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing, in an international setting
- bring curiosity about systems and people, and are motivated to contribute to an international offshore wind environment
- have knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, such as system hardening, access control, or vulnerability management, which is considered an advantage.
Maybe you’ve read the above and feel that your skills don’t match every point exactly. If you believe you can contribute to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
