Operations Project Manager for Development Projects and Project Delivery (m/f/d)

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for managing the operations development aspects of our offshore wind projects and shape and drive strategic projects. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders to prepare budgets, coordinate resources, and ensure successful project delivery.

Welcome to Generation Commercial

You’ll be part of the Generation Development & Project Delivery team, where you, together with your colleagues, from the Project Management Office for the O&M organisation.  The team provides project management services and is the ‘go-to’ destination for initiatives requiring an exceptional project manager who can blend technical insights with business acumen. Team members can expect to either deliver O&M scope on projects in the development phase or lead cross-functional teams to deliver strategic projects within Generation. When working on development projects, the team helps mature them, ensuring strong operational business cases, and conceptualizing an effective operating strategy which balances bid and project aspirations with long-term generation portfolio needs. The team is based in Copenhagen and focuses primarily on projects in Europe and the UK.

As a team, we collaborate closely, sharing knowledge and expertise to continuously improve our processes and deliver high-quality projects. We thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working towards tight deadlines and adapting to changing circumstances.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • leading strategic, large, and cross-functional O&M projects and reporting directly to senior management
  • developing the O&M concepts and preparing operational expenditure (OpEx) budgets for project bids
  • coordinating internal resources and managing stakeholder relationships
  • representing operations in asset project meetings and ensuring alignment with project goals
  • collaborating with local suppliers and educational institutions to support local industry and job creation
  • presenting project results and recommendations to senior management, including risks, opportunities, and budgets supported by strong business justifications.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a strong understanding of business case preparation, particularly OPEX and wind turbine availability
  • can draw conclusions from analytical outputs and challenge assumptions when necessary
  • are experienced in project management, preferably within offshore wind, onshore wind, or oil and gas sectors
  • are self-driven, organized, and structured, with the ability to work effectively even without established frameworks
  • possess excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, are persuasive, and thrive in a complex, global environment
  • thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and can adapt to changing circumstances
  • are curious and enjoy learning about new subjects, markets and cultures.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
