Product Manager, Identity Security

Imagine a future where you help protect the identities powering our global renewable energy operations

Join us in this role where you’ll lead and continuously evolve Ørsted's Identity Security capability across IT, OT and cloud environments. Reporting directly to the CISO, you'll own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of a business-critical security platform while leading a team of identity and cybersecurity professionals. You'll shape how identity security enables secure, reliable access for colleagues, partners, and critical infrastructure teams across our global organisation.

Welcome to Cybersecurity
You'll join our Identity Security platform, where you'll lead a highly skilled group responsible for delivering and operating critical security capabilities across access governance, privileged access management, directory services, authentication, and identity assurance.

Working closely with Digital Technology, Generation, IT and OT environments, and external partners, you'll play a key role in strengthening Ørsted's security posture while supporting our continued digital transformation and green energy ambitions.

As a team, we collaborate openly, take ownership, and focus on building secure, scalable solutions that protect our business while enabling innovation and growth.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • defining and owning the vision, operating model, and roadmap for Ørsted's Identity Security capability across IT, OT, and cloud environments
  • leading, developing, and empowering a team of identity and cyber security specialists, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture
  • prioritising initiatives based on cyber risk, regulatory requirements, business value, and delivery capacity
  • driving identity-related delivery across key transformation programmes, including IGA modernisation, NIS2, UK NIS CAF, and OT identity security
  • strengthening core capabilities across access governance, privileged access management, directory services, authentication, federation, and identity assurance
  • partnering with senior stakeholders across Generation, Digital Technology, Cybersecurity, Audit, Legal, HR and external partners to ensure secure and practical adoption across the business
  • improving platform resilience, control effectiveness, automation, reporting, and audit readiness
  • acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on identity security strategy, risks, and investment priorities.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have strong experience leading identity security, IAM, cybersecurity platforms, or similar business-critical technology capabilities within a complex organisation
  • bring proven people leadership experience and a track record of building, developing, and motivating high-performing teams
  • understand access governance, privileged access management, directory services, authentication, MFA, federation, and related identity controls
  • can translate cyber strategy, regulatory requirements, and business needs into a clear product vision, roadmap, and delivery priorities
  • are confident operating across IT, cloud, and preferably OT or critical infrastructure environments where security, availability, and safety are equally important
  • communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and can explain risks, trade-offs, and opportunities in a practical, business-focused way
  • have a relevant degree within cybersecurity, IT, engineering, or equivalent experience.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
