Risk Model Developer

You’ll be part of Revenue Risk & Risk Models where you, together with your colleagues, will develop and maintain models that calculate risk metrics and support the newly established second line of defence in Ørsted. Join our dynamic and evolving second line risk organisation, where you'll play a crucial role in safeguarding our company's resilience and strategic objectives.
As a vital component of our independent risk management framework, you will be instrumental in challenging first line decision-making, providing expert risk insights, and ensuring robust monitoring and control of our risk landscape.
You’ll play an important role in:
- Developing new models for measuring risk, including stress testing and scenario analysis
- Improving existing models to enhance their accuracy and efficiency, and ensuring they are compliant with regulatory standards and stay within industry trends and best practices
- Collaborating closely within Group Risk and with relevant stakeholders to understand their requirements and deliver tailored solutions
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for model-related issues
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation of models, ensuring it is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders, ensuring all models comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have strong technical skills in model development
- preferably have experience with stress testing, scenario analysis, or other risk management techniques
- love to read and write code and are proficient in programming, ideally with Python experience
- have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- are an excellent communicator, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- enjoy engaging and collaborating with stakeholders and are capable of working effectively with various business functions.
