Senior Cable Specialist

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for overseeing the integrity of operational assets, focusing on operational risk, quality, availability of critical systems and cost-effectiveness. You’ll collaborate with sites to solve day-to-day issues, provide technical support for major failures, and manage preventive maintenance plans.

You’ll be part of the Transmission and Cables team where you, together with your colleagues, will ensure the technical quality of issue-solving within the array and export cable systems. You’ll play an important role in:

  • collaborating with sites in solving day-to-day issues on array and export cables
  • actively providing technical support to the sites for major cable failures or issues to reduce the business impact as well as troubleshooting for cable failure events and perform root cause analysis
  • supporting asset projects with a focus on operation & maintenance related topics for cable specification, maintainability, access and spares
  • managing cable failure preparedness through spare parts management and maintaining technical aspect of the repair contracts
  • defining or improving preventive maintenance plans for operational sites and asset projects for array and export cables
  • updating and communicating issues through the Active Risk Management tool.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have an educational background in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • possess relevant experience within array and export cables operation & maintenance
  • understand the electrical components within the array and export cable systems
  • have experience within the offshore wind industry (optional)
  • have understanding of cable monitoring technologies
  • are fluent in English.
