Senior Commercial Analyst

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for supporting various types of assets, projects, and key processes by ensuring the quality of our technical and commercial assumptions. You’ll be improving existing or setting up new processes to support decommissioning and divestment processes, supporting the future pipeline of existing assets and ensuring optimisation of profitability in this regard.


Welcome to Strategic Optimisation & Analysis
You’ll be part of the Strategic Optimisation & Analysis team where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for delivering high-quality business case inputs. You’ll interact with multi-disciplinary internal stakeholders, ranging from technical specialists and financial and commercial analysts to senior decision-makers. Managing stakeholder expectations regarding input and deliverables will therefore be an integrated part of your work. You’ll play an important role in:

  • ensuring the right balance between input and modelling uncertainty, and the level of details assessed in each analysis by being able to find a pragmatic solution to a complex issue
  • ensuring continuous verification and validation of the simulation models and inputs used in the team as well as continuous improvements of processes involving the team
  • ensuring that relevant technical and commercial assumptions are gathered, maintained, and utilised in our models for forecast and analysis purposes
  • supporting divestment, M&A, and lifetime extension analysis.


To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a background within engineering or similar and preferably possess relevant experience from working with assumptions or modelling
  • have the ability to present detailed information in a holistic and summarised view with focus on the main drivers
  • are attentive to detail, possess strong analytical skills, and a structured approach to solving complex problems
  • thrive in an international and everchanging environment and are able to create good relationships with your stakeholders
  • have excellent communication and networking skills and are fluent in English, enabling you to communicate effortlessly and smoothly with your stakeholders at all levels
  • have experience from working with Excel and preferably with Python.
