Senior Controversy and Advocacy Specialist in Tax

Welcome to Tax  
You’ll be part of the M&A Tax team where you, together with your colleagues, will work in a leading in-house tax team and be exposed to a wide variety of complex and challenging tasks. Tax is a part of our company-wide Finance department and is responsible for tax across the business, including domestic and international corporate taxes, tax forecasting, structuring, transfer pricing, VAT, and other indirect taxes.  You’ll be based at our offices in Gentofte in Denmark. As a team, we’re curious, ambitious, and perseverant, and you’ll be working closely together with highly motivated and dedicated colleagues.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • monitoring ongoing tax policy and legislative initiatives with a view to assessing the impact for the group
  • engaging with policymakers and legislators on legislative initiatives with an impact on Ørsted to ensure alignment between tax policy and energy policy
  • cementing our position as a frontrunner in responsible and sustainable tax practices by participating in conferences, drafting articles, and supporting our engagements in the public debate
  • being a subject matter expert on interpretation of complex tax regulations to support the other functions in Tax
  • supporting on drafting requests for binding rulings, advance pricing agreements, mutual agreement procedures, etc.
  • supporting tax audits and tax controversies by e.g. drafting motions and responses and supporting strategy and procedural matters.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a relevant master's degree such as cand.jur., cand.merc.jur., or another relevant international degree
  • have relevant experience from in-house positions with law firms, tax advisors, trade federations, or tax authorities
  • have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks
  • are a team player
  • speak and write English fluently.
