Senior Plant Control Engineer

Imagine a future where you ensure offshore wind farms deliver stable, compliant, and reliable power to the grid

Join us in this role where you’ll take ownership of how active and reactive power control solutions are implemented across offshore wind farms. You’ll work hands-on with control philosophy, grid compliance, and verification, ensuring that complex electrical systems operate exactly as intended, from design through commissioning and operation.

Welcome to Plant Control
You’ll be part of the Plant Control team where you, together with your colleagues, will integrate and implement plant control solutions across offshore wind farms. The team collaborates closely with power system design, SCADA, project management, and suppliers, supporting projects with a strong focus on collaboration and technical excellence.

As a team, we collaborate openly across disciplines, share knowledge generously, and support each other in solving complex technical challenges in a global project environment.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • aligning with internal and external stakeholders on plant control and grid requirements
  • implementing and integrating active and reactive power control philosophy across wind farm components and documenting the implementation
  • specifying and verifying plant control and operator guidance solutions
  • planning, coordinating, and executing grid compliance and verification tests
  • collecting, analysing, and documenting test data and results in the technical reports
  • supporting continuous improvement of plant control solutions across projects.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have an academic degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • bring a strong background in control theory and its practical implementation
  • have experience working with offshore wind power or comparable energy systems
  • understand industrial control, SCADA systems, networks and cyber security at a practical level
  • work proactively with stakeholders and are comfortable navigating differing technical views.
  • speak and write English fluently, as we operate in an international environment.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
