Senior Quantitative Analyst

Join us in this role where you’ll conceptualize, develop, implement, and deploy systematic trading algorithms in the European short-term power markets. You’ll be able to contribute to the strategy development with your quantitative and programming skills and track their performance in the market.

You’ll be part of  where you, together with your colleagues, will work on automated trading strategies from inception to deployment. You’ll collaborate closely with traders to extract the most value from our 10GW portfolio of renewable assets as well as create additional value from our proprietary trading strategies.

As a team, we are commercially focused but technically savvy. We collaborate in an informal, laid-back environment where we make every voice heard to bring the best ideas forward.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • developing and perfecting our balancing algorithm to ensure best execution of our assets
  • conceptualizing and developing trading strategies, in close collaboration with traders
  • continuous improvement of strategies in production to drive P&L
  • analyzing data and develop forecasts used for algorithmic trading
  • writing robust, well-tested code and deploying it to production.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have knowledge of the energy markets, preferably within short-term power trading
  • like solve mathematical problems but are motivated by releasing your solutions in the real world
  • have a get-stuff-done mentality and are comfortable with trade-offs between speed and quality
  • are numerically literate and have a good understanding of statistics and data science concepts
  • have professional experience as a Python developer
  • have a solid grasp of best practices within DevOps.
