Senior Quantitative Developer

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and advancing our internal core fundamental model  which is central to power market price analysis and strategic decision-making in trading. You will collaborate closely with traders, revenue managers, analysts, quantitative developers,and other key specialists. Your work will leverage Market Dynamics knowledge, Mathematical Optimization, Python, Kubernetes and Airflow to deliver robust, scalable, and high-impact analytics and recommendations.

You’ll be part of Price Forecasting & Analysis team where you, together with your colleagues, will support the European Trading department, Strategic Portfolio and key decisions makers across Trading & Revenue. You’ll play an important role in:

  • developing, maintaining, and improving the fundamental model used for power market price analysis
  • designing and implementing new model features and methodologies to follow the ever-changing power market dynamics
  • collaborating with traders, analysts, quantitative model developers and other specialists to ensure model relevance and accuracy
  • delivering quantitative analysis, insights, and actionable recommendations based on outputs from our fundamental model
  • using Python, AI, Github, Kubernetes and Airflow for model development, data analysis, reporting and orchestration
  • leveraging JupyterHub for collaborative analytics and sharing results .

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a background in quantitative development, data science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, with strong experience in model development and power markets
  • are skilled in Python and comfortable writing maintainable and scalable Python code
  • have experience with time-series analysis, mathematical optimization, forecasting methods, and data visualisation
  • demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • are motivated by working on energy trading and risk management challenges
  • embrace continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within respectful and supportive workplace.
