Senior Short Term Trader

Welcome to Gas 

You'll be part of the Short-Term Gas Trading team where you, together with your colleagues, will provide the route to market for our European gas portfolio. The team executes trading strategies, and captures opportunities across short-term gas markets. Working closely with specialists across the business, you'll contribute to value creation while helping ensure reliable operations and effective risk management.

You'll play an important role in: 

  • trading intraday and day-ahead gas markets across Europe to balance the portfolio and create value 

  • optimising the value of flexible assets and positions within our gas portfolio 

  • monitoring, developing, and executing short-term trading strategies 

  • improving our operational and analytical capabilities through automation and digitalisation 

  • collaborating with colleagues across functions to support trading, balancing, and portfolio optimisation activities 

  • participating in a 24/7 shift rotation covering all days of the year. 

 

To succeed in the role, you: 

  • bring experience from energy markets, ideally within gas, commodities, financial markets, or a related commercial environment 

  • enjoy analysing data and using insights to make well-informed decisions 

  • collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders in an international environment 

  • take ownership of your work while actively contributing to team success 

  • remain focused and adaptable in fast-changing market conditions 

  • communicate clearly and build positive working relationships across different functions.

Position salary range:
For this position, the expected base pay range is kr474,240.00- kr711,360.00 for the advertised location. The offered base salary will be determined within this range based on relevant skills, experience, and expected role fulfilment within the stated pay range to ensure a fair and competitive offer. Where applicable, you may also be eligible for variable payment and a comprehensive benefits package.
