Senior/Lead/Senior Lead Bid Advisor

Join us in this role where you’ll evaluate offshore wind tenders across the European markets to inform Ørsted’s prioritisation of bids, strategies to approach bid development, as well as define and shape the bidding strategies up to submission. You will work in cross-functional teams to prepare bids and advise senior leadership in setting strategic direction for the bids and the wider portfolio.

Welcome to Business Development Europe
You’ll be part of Bid Development where you, together with your colleagues, will set the direction for growth in Europe across offshore wind and adjacent technologies. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working on all topics related to bids - from auction theory, pricing, strategy, bid writing and evaluation - and in varied formats and settings (for example, presentations, workshops and strategy games).

As a team, we strive for impact, inclusion, and fulfillment. We are collaborative and enjoy sharing ideas and challenging each other. We are empowered to take decisions and implement changes needed for success.  We have the freedom to work across a range of growth opportunities across many markets.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • advising management in setting the right strategic direction for their bids and ensuring alignment with company, regional and market growth strategies
  • advising senior leadership in pricing and bid strategies at bid submission
  • keeping track of and analysing important developments across markets and competitors to provide market intelligence insights that inform the strategic direction of our European development portfolio
  • developing bespoke analyses that could impact e.g. how we approach bid development, how we form effective JVs at the bid stage, how we can improve our bid competitiveness, how we can improve our decision-making quality related to bids, how we ensure up-to-date valuation techniques
  • fostering a culture of continuous improvement, pragmatism, and competitiveness.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have strong analytical capabilities and ability to understand and convey complex topics across various disciplines (incl. technical, economic/financial, legal/regulatory)
  • are a commercial and strategic thinker
  • have experience in bidding, strategy and/or growth in established &/or new markets
  • have experience in advising and/or managing a wide array of stakeholders at various levels of seniority
  • are a comfortable presenter and facilitator
  • are a team player

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
