Solution Architect

Join us in this role where you’ll ensure that the architecture of applications and tooling supports effective architecture practices and general architectural artefacts in alignment with our strategy and vision. As part of the Architecture team, you’ll ensure that the priorities are in line with our key stakeholders’ vision to maximise value creation for the Engineering & Construction Solution Train of approx. 150 people.

 

Welcome to Architecture & Technology
You’ll be part of Foundations & Geo Agile Delivery Organization (SAFe ART) where you, together with your colleagues, will be working to support the design of large engineering structures used in Offshore Windfarms. You’ll work with Strong Cloud Competencies and be the Solution Architect for 5-6 teams of IT developers and Engineering subject matter experts. You’ll help solve the unique challenges involved in building a sustainable energy company with diverse operations around the globe. As a team, we have a collaborative atmosphere and relaxed working culture where there is room for debate and problems are often solved in collaboration.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • accelerating cloud adoption to modernise Engineering workflows and reduce costs
  • collaborating with Product Owners to recommend best practice architecture aligned with business goals and working with several engineering teams at the core of our business constructing our wind farms
  • being a trusted advisor for developers and engineers on application architecture and infrastructure components
  • advising and overseeing the implementation of technology that is secure, reliable, maintainable, scalable, usable, and performs well
  • cooperating with the immediate architect community in the Solution Train to ensure alignment with the overall Architectural Runway and portfolio targets
  • adhering to our standards within OT and IT Security to plan and design the right architecture.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have genuine curiosity about how technology can assist engineers and extensive experience in Cloud (Azure or AWS)
  • possess experience in operations and troubleshooting for two or more of the following: Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, DevOps, Big Data and Analytics, Security, Applications.
  • have solid knowledge of Terraform, K8s, and API development
  • understand Cloud-based Virtual Desktop Infrastructure as a significant advantage
  • have a broad understanding and the ability to assess new and future technologies
  • can operate within an agile SAFe environment and create good collaboration with colleagues globally.
