Solution Manager for Trading Platform

Join in this role as the Solution Manager where you, as part of the Agile Release Train leadership team, will be the one setting the architecture and technical direction for both current and future technology stack, ensuring that technology choices align with the architectural runway for commodity trading. As part of this, you will lead a team of proficient architects to guide the 14 agile development teams within the Trading Express ART.

While employed in the Architecture and Technology Competency Center, your daily work will be as a member the Trading Express ART leadership team where you will support Ørsted’s global commodity trading activities and its front-to-back office capabilities. Your architectural leadership will be crucial in ensuring that the solutions delivered are aligned with the broader architecture and technology for our trading business. Together with the Product Manager, Technical Product Owner, and Release Train Engineer – you will constitute the leadership team that steers the future technology for commodity trading in Ørsted. As a team, we highly value everyone’s individual skills and expertise as a strong link to the architectural community in Ørsted.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • collaborating with the rest of ART leadership to define the digital strategy for the Trading business in alignment with both Ørsted’s business and IT strategy.
  • enabling the future ambitions for our Trading business and ensuring the tech stack is up-to-date on the latest technological developments for cloud, data, algorithms and AI.
  • leading the architectural community of applications and solution architects within the Trading Express organization.
  • collaborating with Enterprise, Application, Security, and Infrastructure architects to incorporate company-wide architecture to address challenges whilst aligning with Ørsted’s architecture and technology strategy.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have experience with energy trading systems (ETRMs, trade platforms, regulatory, logistics etc.) or equivalent experience from the financial sector. Experience with automatic or algorithmic trading is an added advantage.
  • have experience in transforming the business from legacy on-prem systems to de-coupled cloud architecture. Both data layer and/or application layer experience are of relevance.
  • have extensive technical experience in developing architectures and architecture guidelines and designs for large corporations or technology environments.
  • are an experienced leader who has managed technical programs, people, larger initiatives, or similar, and as part of this, navigated large cooperations with many stakeholders
  • have experience in communicating architectural decisions to stakeholders, including proficient architect community, development teams or less tech-savvy audience at all levels.
