Sourcing Manager

Imagine a future where your sourcing expertise helps accelerate the green transition while building the commercial partnerships behind Denmark's renewable energy assets

Join us in this role where you’ll drive sourcing activities across a broad portfolio of projects supporting Ørsted's bioenergy business. You'll lead sourcing processes from idea to contract award, collaborate with stakeholders across technical and commercial disciplines, and help shape the procurement solutions that support our growing renewable energy ambitions. You'll work on a diverse range of sourcing projects, giving you significant responsibility, visibility, and opportunities to develop your commercial toolkit. Whether you're bringing a few years of sourcing experience or are looking to take the next step from an early-career procurement role, you'll find significant opportunities to learn, develop, and grow within strategic sourcing at Ørsted.

Welcome to Bio Strategic Sourcing
You’ll be part of the Bio Strategic Sourcing team where you, together with your colleagues, will be supporting Ørsted's bioenergy assets and projects across Denmark. The team brings together commercial, technical, and legal expertise and works closely with project managers, engineers, QHSE, and legal colleagues. The pace can be high, and the tasks can be complex, but you’ll be surrounded by colleagues who care about quality, collaboration, and having a good time while delivering.

As a team, we are ambitious, curious, and supportive. We challenge each other, help each other, and take pride in creating strong solutions together.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • leading sourcing activities across a diverse portfolio of projects, from early stakeholder engagement through to contract award and implementation
  • developing and executing sourcing and commercial strategies that support our bioenergy, renewable energy, and carbon capture initiatives
  • ensuring compliance with sourcing governance, tender requirements, and EU tender regulations where applicable
  • collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, legal colleagues, and business stakeholders to deliver value-creating sourcing outcomes
  • negotiating commercial agreements and building strong supplier relationships that support business objectives and long-term value creation
  • contributing to the continuous development of our sourcing practices such as E-auctions and other AI and digitalization activities.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a commercial, legal or engineering background
  • have experience within sourcing, procurement, or tender management in an industrial or project-driven environment
  • bring a solid commercial understanding, including contract structures and negotiation principles
  • are comfortable working independently while engaging with a broad set of stakeholders
  • communicate clearly and professionally, including with senior stakeholders
  • demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented mindset when working with complex tasks
  • speak and write both Danish and English.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
