Student Assistant, Tech Portfolio

Imagine a future where you turn data into insights that help shape our technology portfolio

Join us in this role where you’ll support the development and maintenance of data integration, reporting, and analytics solutions. You’ll use Power BI and SQL to bring together data, create clear visualisations, and support informed decisions about the technologies and platforms used across Ørsted.

Welcome to AI, Data & Architecture Tech Platform

You’ll be part of the Architecture and Tech Portfolio Management team where you, together with your colleagues, will help manage and provide insights into Ørsted’s technology portfolio. The team consists of four colleagues and another student assistant, and you’ll work closely with team members in Denmark and Poland. As a team, we share knowledge, learn from one another, and work together across locations to turn data into useful business insights.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • building and maintaining Power BI reports, including using DAX to create metrics and clear visualisations
  • writing and enhancing basic SQL queries to retrieve data for the datamart and create views within it
  • supporting the maintenance of data connections and helping establish new connections across platforms and datamarts
  • bringing together data from different sources and making it accessible and relevant to the business
  • checking data and reports carefully to support consistent, reliable insights
  • collaborating with colleagues across locations and sharing progress and findings clearly.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are currently pursuing a relevant degree in IT, data, engineering, or a related field, or bring equivalent experience alongside your studies
  • have worked with Power BI through your studies, projects, or another relevant setting
  • have foundational knowledge of SQL and related tools, such as Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio
  • are curious and motivated to learn more about data integration, APIs, and emerging technologies
  • combine analytical thinking with attention to detail and a structured approach to your work
  • communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with colleagues across teams and locations

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
