Student Assistant in Ørsted Bioenergy

Join us in this role where you’ll use and develop your ability to structure, analyze and present complex issues to relevant decision makers in a simple and clear manner. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the entire team on various business development activities where you will use data-driven, quantitative analysis to inform decisions and translate insights into clear recommendations. Welcome to Bioenergy Customers & Markets
You’ll be part of Development & Regulation where you, together with your colleagues, will cover business development and regulatory activities across the main value streams of Bioenergy’s assets, including power, heat, ancillary services and carbon capture. The team consists primarily economists and engineers with strong sector knowledge and experience.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • designing and executing quantitative analyses of Bioenergy’s core markets with a focus on our ancillary services business
  • contributing to commercial activities aimed at increasing our ancillary services delivery
  • developing and delivering presentations and decision-making materials for senior stakeholders both internally and externally
  • structuring workflows and processes, including keeping track of KPIs and other performance metrics
  • collecting and monitoring relevant information and data to build knowledge about markets, projects, political processes etc.
  • working 15 hours weekly in average and your job will be office-based.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are in progress of an education within economics, engineering or related field either at bachelor or master’s level
  • have a strong analytical mindset with a structured approach to problem solving
  • have a good grasp of quantitative methods and proficiency in data analysis tools
  • show interest in and, ideally, knowledge of energy markets and technologies
  • are a team player and approach tasks with curiosity and motivation
  • work with a high degree of integrity are detail oriented, ensuring that deadlines are met, and that information shared is consistently.
