Student Assistant to strengthen analysis of biomass markets

Join us in this role where you’ll work with price & quantity forecasts, supply and demand analysis, market assessments, and more broadly help to shape the analytical foundation for decision making with colleagues and management.

 

Welcome to Bioenergy
You’ll be part of the Fuel & Biocarbon Supply Team where you, together with your colleagues, will provide analytical insight and support to a dedicated and collaborative team of traders, originators, planners, business developers and management responsible for sourcing biomass to Ørsted’s combined heat and power plants. English is the primary language in the department however we have both Danish and English-speaking stakeholders. This position is rated for 20 hours weekly. As a team, we believe in collaboration and always help each other to achieve the best results. You’ll play an important role in:

  • analyzing Bioenergy’s supply chain and operation
  • analyzing biomass markets and the broader energy complex
  • gathering, maintaining, and analyzing energy markets data
  • writing, presenting, and disseminating findings and results.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are currently studying economics, business, or another relevant discipline, and have at least two years left before graduating
  • are interested in understanding the energy markets and Ørsted position in these
  • possess good skills within data analysis and presentation, and comfortable with tools such as Excel and Power Point
  • are interested in visualizing and communicating results
  • have interest in code-based analytics such as Python, R or SQL - and are eager to develop your skills even further by being a fast learner
  • speak and write English fluently - it will be a benefit if you speak, understand and write Danish as well.
