Student Assistant

Join us as a Student Assistant in Global Sustainability, where you will gain hands-on experience within sustainability in a global renewable energy company. You will support projects and processes contributing to the green transition while working closely with experienced colleagues in an international and fast-paced environment. 

  

Welcome to Global Sustainability 

In Global Sustainability we facilitate projects and initiatives related to decarbonisation, biodiversity, community impact, human rights, and sustainability due diligence across Ørsted. We define the strategic direction for sustainability and work with teams across the business to translate directions into action, strengthen sustainability integration, and help identify and mitigate risks.

 

You will be part of the Sustainability Due Diligence & Compliance team, where you will support work related to embedding human rights due diligence process across Ørsted value chain.  

 

You will play an important role in:   

  • Assisting with human rights due diligence and related compliance processes across Ørsted’s value chain, including gathering supplier information, aiding site-visit preparation and contributing to risk screening and reporting.
  • Supporting human rights activities across the value chain, focusing on streamlining workflows, data collection, documentation management, and process improvements. 
  • Contributing to a practical understanding of the regulatory landscape, tracking developments, interpreting implications for Ørsted, and supporting regulatory reporting. 
  • Undertaking ad hoc tasks as they arise (e.g., special projects, cross-functional requests, data requests) to support ongoing workstreams. 

 

To succeed in the role, you:   

  • Have a strong interest in sustainability and human rights and are eager to learn and contribute. 
  • Are organized and detail-oriented, able to manage tasks independently. 
  • Are a strong communicator, capable of producing concise updates and documentation and working with cross-functional teams. 
  • Are flexible and adaptable, able to handle ad hoc tasks and changing priorities. 
  • Are self-driven, organised, and capable of working independently while delivering high-quality results on time.  
  • Are in the final year of your bachelor’s degree or beginning a master’s degree in sustainability, law, political science, global development, or a similar field.  
  • Speak and write English fluently (Danish is not a requirement). 

 

The position is based in our office in Gentofte, with flexibility to work remotely as needed. The expected workload is approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility around exam periods.

Position salary range:

For this position, the expected hourly rate is between kr165.00 - kr185.00 for the advertised location.
