Student Assistant

Join us in this role where you’ll contribute to analyses that drive our Company’s regulatory positions. You’ll support the Energy Economics team and the wider Global Regulatory and Public Affairs department by performing data analysis and critically evaluating external reports to inform strategic decision-making.

 

Welcome to Global Regulatory and Public Affairs
You’ll be part of Energy Economics team where you, together with your colleagues, will work at the intersection of economics and energy policy. The team continuously work on topics related to electricity market and tariff regulation, CFD-design, and the cost of the power system to name a few. You’ll also collaborate with other teams across the department, supporting a broad range of regulatory initiatives.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • help the team stay on top of the many analyses and policy proposals that arises
  • gather, analyze, and visualize data for various in-house analyses
  • apply your academic training, in particular within microeconomics, to understand the impacts of proposed policies
  • collaborating across teams to support department-wide initiatives.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are currently pursuing a degree in economics or a related field
  • show genuine interested in energy policy—both from a theoretical and quantitative perspective
  • are skilled in Excel and familiar with (or open to learning) Python, R, Power BI, or similar tools
  • are curious about energy system modeling, especially using PyPSA.
  • are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
