Technical Asset Manager

Join us in this role where you’ll lead the technical and performance management of the Iceni BESS (300 MW / 600 MWh), maximising asset value through strong operational governance, data-driven performance assurance, and proactive management of our full-wrap LTSA with Tesla. You’ll play a key role in preparing the asset for COD and ensuring a smooth transition into steady-state operations.

Welcome to Storage and Flex
You’ll be part of the Storage and Flex team where you, together with your colleagues, will secure operational readiness, validate performance, and manage technical interfaces across OEM, EPC, grid operators, and internal stakeholders. You’ll collaborate closely with commercial, regulatory, and digital teams to ensure the asset’s technical performance supports our broader operational and market strategy.  As a team, we care deeply about safe, reliable operations, work collaboratively across domains, and succeed as one.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • leading daily asset monitoring via Tesla platforms, ensuring data transparency and integrity
  • validating technical KPIs such as availability, throughput, degradation, and efficiency against contractual definitions
  • detecting and quantifying performance deviations or revenue leakage via trend, anomaly, and event-based analytics
  • developing and maintaining ownerside dashboards, reporting structures, and automated alerts
  • acting as the primary owner representative for all LTSA interactions and warranty assurance activities
  • supporting pre-COD commissioning, acceptance testing, and establishment of Iceni’s operational governance processes.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • hold a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering (or equivalent)
  • bring 8–12 years’ experience in technical asset management across BESS, wind, or solar portfolios
  • have a proven track record managing or assuring OEM full-wrap or LTSA contracts
  • possess strong analytical skills and experience with Tesla platforms , historian systems, and APIbased data flowsbased data flows
  • understand UK Grid Code requirements, ESO processes, and technical performance frameworks
  • communicate effectively and manage stakeholders across technical, commercial, and regulatory domains.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
