HV Senior Specialist

Imagine a future where you play a key role in safeguarding and optimising high‑voltage transmission assets across our offshore and onshore infrastructure.

Join us in this role where you’ll lead safe, efficient, and compliant operation of high‑voltage and low‑voltage assets, ensuring electrical safety, operational excellence, and strong collaboration with key stakeholders across OFTO operations.

Welcome to HV & Transmission Systems

As a HV Specialist you’ll be part of the Nearshore Transmission & HV Team, where you together with your colleagues will manage HV and LV asset operation, switching, 6-year turbine maintenance as well as our own annual maintenance on both onshore and offshore Substations. The team combines deep specialist knowledge, strong operational discipline, and a commitment to safe and reliable transmission performance.

As a team, we prioritise safety, knowledge‑sharing, and supportive collaboration, creating an environment where everyone grows and contributes to best‑in‑class operations.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • ensure safe and compliant HV/LV operational and safety switching, including electrical and mechanical isolations
  • coordinate, plan, and supervise inspections and maintenance on offshore and onshore HV/LV assets
  • provide inputs to the operation and maintenance management programme, including analysis for improvements and cost optimisation
  • manage reporting, documentation, risk reviews, statutory inspections, and service performance analyses
  • act as site supervisor for contractors and working parties, ensuring alignment with ØESR.
  • liaise with Control Engineers, OFTO stakeholders, and internal teams to support safe and reliable asset operations.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • are a senior authorised person (SAP) at 66kV
  • have electrical engineering experience in a relevant industry, including maintenance planning and HV operations
  • are physically fit and able to work on offshore and onshore assets, or equivalent experience
  • hold a full driving licence
  • thrive in flexible working patterns, including on‑call rotations for certain SAP categories
  • have strong planning, reporting, communication, and coordination skills.

Please note that this role is shift-based role 7/7.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
