Join us in this role where you will be a key partner alongside the best engineers in the industry to create “best in class” OT network solutions across our production landscape. Additionally, your responsibilities will include installation & delivery of network infrastructure components at our European production facilities. The role is associated with technology used in business operations 24x7 365 days. Regular travel to our production sites across the UK and Ireland is required, so a full UK driver's licence is necessary.

Welcome to UK IT
You’ll be part of our Global IT/OT Production OM-ONE team where you, together with your colleagues, will support the operating and running of our portfolio of mission critical assets across the EU region. You’ll join a department of over 10 colleagues spread around the world and collaborate with the project team working in an international and dynamic setup. As a team of highly skilled individuals, our primary purpose is to ensure we have stable and reliable infrastructure available and online at all times. You will maintain and support our existing network infrastructure, managing and operating Cisco devices (routers, switches, WLCs, ASA and FTD firewalls), as well as overseeing platforms such as Panorama and Cisco CSM. As a team, we are very passionate about our work and our company vision and collaborate with local and global stakeholders to achieve our business goals and embrace learning opportunities.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • maintaining, supporting, and transforming existing networks into new infrastructure designed for high availability, security, and easy maintenance
  • ensuring that the right cyber security level is implemented on the network solutions on production sites, fulfilling both country-specific and Group requirements
  • being responsible for network related activities such as lifecycle management, software upgrades, and deployment
  • supporting the need for specialized knowledge during operations (e.g. incidents with significant business impact, change impact assessment, including participation in on-call team if required)
  • working with risk assessment, detailed work planning, centralized configuration, and continuous improvement in a manner similar to modern DevOps
  • establishing new Production sites with respect to connections, including connectivity to critical assets like ON+OF windfarms.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have relevant experience as an IT OT network engineer in the renewables industry, or equivalent, working in complex organizations with local and global interfaces
  • have a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or software engineering, hold a Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification, and possess general knowledge of Palo Alto products
  • have general network administration experience, planning and implementing network designs, with specific knowledge of CISCO infrastructure - including IOS-XE and IOS-XR devices, FTD firewalls, WLC
  • have experience from working in OT/Production environment, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of communication networks, structure cabling standards (e.g., LAN and WAN) in factories or other real-time environments
  • are a self-starter with a “Can do” approach
  • have great interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with remote colleagues & peers.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
