Offshore Coordinator
Join us in this role where you’ll ensure the safe and efficient coordination of vessels and helicopters to support operations and maintenance activities at offshore wind installations. You’ll collaborate with a committed team to oversee logistics, monitor personnel movements, and uphold safety standards in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.
Welcome to Offshore Coordination
You’ll be part of the Offshore Coordination team where you, together with your colleagues, will manage offshore traffic and provide operational control under our safety management system.
As a team, we value communication, accountability, and process optimization to deliver excellence in our operations.
You’ll play an important role in:
- coordinating emergency responses, handling radio communications, and escalating incidents appropriately
- overseeing vessel and helicopter movements in alignment with established coordination protocols
- tracking personnel and vessels using logs and automated tracking systems
- acting as the operational controller under the site’s safe-system-of-work
- operating the offshore management system to verify personnel certifications and generate passenger lists.
To succeed in the role, you:
- possess strong communication skills and demonstrate a collaborative attitude
- are comfortable using IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office and tracking tools
- show excellent multitasking capabilities and attention to detail
- have situational awareness and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- maintain a flexible approach to work, including availability for day and night shift rotations across holidays.
Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
We operate a 7 on/7 off shift pattern including night shifts. The offshore coordination team is based at the East Coast Hub in Grimsby, supporting the wind farms in the East Coast Region for which Ørsted is responsible. While travel requirements are minimal for the successful candidate, please note that some travel may be necessary for training purposes.
