Head of Portfolio Offshore Germany

Join us in this role where you’ll get to play a starring role towards creating a world that runs entirely on green energy by being in a leadership position, managing the four, soon to be six, operational offshore wind assets in Germany.  Here, you’ll manage highly complex commercial and contractual topics relevant for the German market, lead a team of 6-8 commercial managers, and be a key member of the German Country Management. You’ll also represent our organisation within some of these projects as director alongside our partners.

Welcome to Asset Management Europe
You’ll be part of Asset Management region Central Europe where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for managing the Commercial Managers for the German operational assets, lead on German market and cross-portfolio specific topics, and partake in the German management team. This involves the management of commercial matters, contractual obligations, stakeholder relations, financial performance reporting and ensuring compliance with local requirements, as well as representing the company towards authorities and partners. As a team, we collaborate across commercial, operational, and financial disciplines to optimise the value of our assets.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • leading the commercial managers within the German Portfolio.
  • using value-driven principles to analyse and manage opportunities to optimise the asset business case, with a focus on revenue optimisation and identifying risks and mitigation measures
  • interacting with internal stakeholders on complex financial, regulatory, and commercial topics, as well as external stakeholders within the regulatory environment
  • working as part of the Asset Management team in Central Europe on the rollout of cross-portfolio optimisation activities, as well as on German market specific topics.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a completed degree in business, economics, law, or similar
  • have demonstrable leadership skills as well as relevant commercial experience and insight, ideally complemented by several years of sector-specific experience from offshore wind or utilities
  • thrive working under high pressure with highly dynamic and interchangeable projects whilst delivering top-quality results
  • have excellent stakeholder management skills and relevant experience with external stakeholder management, ideally complemented with experience of partnership management
  • speak and write English and German fluently.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
