Market Access and Data Exchange Specialist (German and Dutch Power market)

Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for ensuring Ørsted’s compliance with relevant market rules for power related data exchange.

Welcome to Global Revenue Services
You’ll be part of Global Contract Settlements where you, together with your colleagues, will be the super user for our IT systems processing these data, working closely with our IT colleagues and vendors on implementing any necessary changes to the system landscape and set up. You’ll also play a key role in the quality assurance of our power volume data, act on missing or incorrect data and ensure the communication flow to stakeholders.

As a team, we help each other, share knowledge and learning, and support each other to succeed and develop. We maintain an informal dialogue within the team and enable work in a hybrid set-up.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • ensuring Ørsted’s power volume and master data exchange with electricity system operators
  • ensuring compliance with relevant German (GPKE, MaBis) and Dutch (Netcode elektriciteit, sammenverkingscode electriciteit) market rules in collaboration with our IT vendors and internal IT colleagues
  • participating in relevant industry events to keep yourself and relevant colleagues updated with upcoming market rule changes
  • ensuring data availability and high data quality standards for settlement, forecasting and analysis purposes
  • having a constructive relationship with external data providers and internal data users
  • investigating and resolving metering data errors in coordination with the grid operator

To succeed in the role, you:

  • ideally have several years of experience with the German power market
  • have a solid understanding of regulatory requirements for power data exchange (MaBiS, GPKE)
  • are confident in engaging with external stakeholders (transmission system operators, balancing coordinators, regulators, etc.)
  • have experience in analytical roles and have shown that you can work with and explore new topics independently
  • speak and write German/English fluently (German on mother-tongue level), Dutch is an advantage but not a must
  • work systematically, show responsibility and deliver high-quality results.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
