Data Science Developer (C#, .Net Core)

Join us in this role where you’ll get the opportunity to both act as a data scientist, nurture a good user relationship as well as be a software developer. We are looking for a skilled profile who can analyse the data our users generate when planning any O&M campaign at any Ørsted sites. Based on your insights, and the conversation with the users, you are going to lead what can be improved to make our tools even more accurate and powerful. You will furthermore get a chance to get hands-on on all phases of our code development and contribute to our repository together with the rest of our skilled Software Engineers. We are offering a role of impact: taking the right actions from your insights will have the potential to impact directly Ørsted’s EBIDTA numbers since the decisions taken from our planning tools directly affect the yearly OPEX.

You’ll be part of the Generation Digital Technology where you, together with your colleagues, will provide IT applications to all business units in our group, enabling the business to grow rapidly across the globe. As a global team that is still growing, we’re following the principles of Agile, emphasizing collaboration, continuous improvement, and cross-functional alignment to deliver our goals efficiently.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

    • changing the mindset from a traditional break-down maintenance to implementing best in class O&M planning methodologies
    • extracting insights from the plans and campaigns of all Ørsted sites and Ørsted’s global O&M functions and validate them with our users
    • linking your data insights to our model assumptions. We expect this to be a collaborative process with the rest of the team and the PO, but we hope you will be the leading figure in this process
    • presenting the insights of your analysis in a structured way to the business and the team
    • influencing and co-developing model and software development in our team based on the output of your insights, leveraging .NET technologies, cloud platforms, and integration frameworks.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

    • have experience in querying, analyzing and verifying data in a structured way, and deliver data driven conclusions
    • are good at connecting the dots and can structure your data science work using logical thinking and scientific methods
    • have experience translating data into reports and Power BI
    • have experience in developing applications using the .NET framework, including ASP.NET for web development and .NET Core/.NET 5 for cross-platform development
    • are familiar in system integration using modern technologies such as REST APIs, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, messaging platforms (Kafka/AMQ), and SQL or NoSQL databases
    • are familiar in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services and in the deployment, scaling and managing applications in the cloud
    • are familiar with DevOps practices and tools for automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
    • have experience with version control systems, such as Git, build tools, such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and containerization technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes.
