Data Specialist

Imagine a future where you shape procurement and supply chain data excellence for tactical and strategic decision making in a global organisation.

Join us in this role where you’ll help procurement and supply chain stakeholders, as well as senior management, access consistent, high-quality data and dashboards. You’ll support data collection automation, improve data processes and pipelines, and drive data quality initiatives across supplier, contract, and spend data domains.

Welcome to Procurement Reporting

You’ll be part of the Procurement Management Office, where you together with your colleagues will work to enhance centralised procurement and supply chain data that supports reporting and insights across the procurement value chain. As a team, we focus on standardising, consolidating, validating, automating, and delivering data and dashboards based on best practices. Working across Kuala Lumpur and Europe, the team includes data specialists, data engineers, and PowerBI developers who collaborate closely with business analysts to build a reliable and consistent data and reporting landscape. Together, we share knowledge openly and deliver practical insights that create business value and support the green transformation.

You’ll play an important role in:

    • identifying opportunities to automate and improve manual data processes, working closely with data engineers and Power BI developers on implementation
    • ensuring timely and accurate maintenance of manual data, supporting dashboard reliability and compliance with data quality and availability standards
    • collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements and coordinate with data providers, data engineers, and Power BI developers to assess request feasibility
    • supporting data quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement in data quality and awareness
    • troubleshooting and resolving data or dashboard issues, coordinating with data engineers, and Power BI developers to ensure timely resolution
    • managing data and dashboard access requests while ensuring compliance with access controls and data retention policies.

To succeed in the role, you:

    • have a strong business understanding, particularly in procurement and supply chain, and can translate business needs into data and process requirements
    • have hands-on experience with Power Automate and Power Apps
    • have experience managing and processing large manual data sets
    • have good knowledge of data and information management, including processes, automation, governance, principles, and tools
    • have a structured and analytical approach, balancing governance with flexibility to achieve practical outcomes
    • have experience with reporting or analytics tools such as PowerBI, SQL, or similar experience, would be an advantage
    • are motivated by working in a global, collaborative environment and contributing to continuous improvement

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
