Senior Cloud Engineer

Join us in this role where you’ll provide our developers and IT infrastructure teams with capabilities to automate code deployment and provision of Infrastructure with Cloud native tooling, pushing, and enabling the DevOps mindset.

 

Welcome to Enterprise IT Infrastructure IPL
You’ll be part of Azure Platform team, a dynamic consulting team advising consumers on the best practices for utilizing Azure products where you, together with your colleagues, will collaborate closely with the Azure Platform team ensuring the best possible operation and governance of our Azure footprint for the entire organisation. You’ll bring you skills in cloud computing, Azure services, and a consultative approach to problem-solving, and interact with many highly skilled and ambitious development teams and infrastructure specialists harnessing Azure DevOps, containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, and other cutting-edge automation. As a team, we collaborate, embrace learning opportunities, share knowledge, and support mutual development.

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • collaborating with team members on developing Azure platform products and providing expert advice to Azure consumers on Azure cloud solutions and best practices
  • assisting our Azure consumers in designing, deploying, and managing Azure environments to conduct technical reviews and audits of Azure deployments
  • developing and maintaining documentation related to Azure architecture and best practices
  • collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate Azure services with other IT systems
  • staying current with Azure updates and new services to provide cutting-edge solutions and deliver training and workshops on Azure services if needed.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a strong focus on consultancy and enablement of Azure services and solid experience with Azure infrastructure development, preferably from automation development using CI/CD pipelines
  • have experience with containerisation and orchestration, where Kubernetes cluster setup experience is a plus
  • possess knowledge about Cloud Governance: Azure Policies deployment, automation, and compliance reporting
  • have solid experience in cloud security best practice, Azure DevOps, and Artifactory, preferably with knowledge of GitHub
  • bring a broad Infrastructure as Code toolbox, incl. Terraform
  • are familiar with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
