Senior Platform Engineer

You’ll be part of Data Management Product Team where you, together with your colleagues, will enable all in Ørsted to easily, securely, and reliably generate value from data.

 

As a team, we will achieve this via a combination of COTS software / platforms, internally-developed governance frameworks, custom inner-source

 

You’ll play an important role in:

  • developing automations to bridge SaaS/PaaS data management solutions with in-house data ingestion & consumption endpoints
  • implementing analytics instrumentation to measure platform usage and time-to-measure
  • enabling (from an ease-of-use angle) automated governance monitoring and enforcement for data producers / owners on their respective data assets and products
  • designing processes and automated logic flows aimed at simplifying the measurement and maintenance of data quality standards (for data assets and products)
  • enabling federated enforcement of data quality rules

 

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have good understanding of foundational Azure/AWS cloud services such as secrets management (Key Vault), identity and access management (AD Groups), networking, and observability (logging and monitoring).
  • have experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes platforms such as AKS or EKS; familiarity with Helm and Argo Workflows is an advantage
  • have experience with automation, version control, DevOps, IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD (using GitHub, GitHub Actions & Runners)
  • have proven capability in Python programming integrating REST APIs and developing config-driven automation workflows using JSON/YAML to enable flexible and reusable platform solutions
  • have experience working with any of the Data Catalogues but not limited to (Collate/ DataHub/Collibra/Atlan/AWS Glue Data Catalogue etc)
  • enjoy working collaboratively on features and user stories and value team success above individual achievements, have good interpersonal and communication skills that allow you to collaborate with stakeholders
