Lead Project Planner

Join us in this role where you’ll  be an essential part of our offshore wind engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project organisation. You’ll drive the planning discipline on your dedicated project providing the functional expertise within project planning, leading a team of planners supporting the project with time and resource management using established tools and processes. You’ll make use of your leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills at the front of a thriving planner team that supports the project leadership team with the best basis for decision-making from project maturation to completion.

 

Welcome to Project Controls and Risk Management
You’ll be part of the Project Scope, Planning and Integration team where you, together with your colleagues, will assist Ørsted’s offshore wind projects globally within the four project management disciplines: integration, scope, schedule, and resources. We’re a team of highly skilled specialists working in a strong matrix organisation, equipped with continuously optimised methods and tools. We collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders across countries and time zones and as a team, we’re passionate about making an impact by providing the best possible support for our projects. You’ll play an important role in:

  • leading the time and human resources planning on our projects as well as controlling and maintaining time schedules and performing schedule analyses
  • collaborating with other project control functions to provide an integrated progress overview allowing for effective monitoring, forecasting, and execution of projects
  • delegating planning tasks and work scope between the planners on the project, while driving and supporting close collaboration in the planning team to ensure high-quality integrated schedules
  • carrying out progress updates in terms of activities and resources and communicating and reporting progress, performance, and forecasts on a regular basis
  • supporting management decision-making on the project, using your professional and personal skills and insights
  • ensuring compliance with our guidelines and processes and contribute to their implementation.  

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have solid experience with planning large-scale EPC projects, preferably within the offshore industry, and can draw on experience, knowledge, and competences equivalent to the Project Management Institute Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) credential
  • have experience with delegating and leading others and possess interpersonal skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with your stakeholders
  • have a proactive, structured and analytical approach to your work and a good eye for detail and data quality
  • possess excellent spoken and written communication skills, enabling you to present and communicate complex matters in a professional and straightforward manner
  • are a strong user of Primavera P6
  • have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, or an equivalent qualification.
