QHSE Advisor (m/f/d)

Join us in this role where you’ll play a vital role in promoting and maintaining high standards for quality, health, safety, and environment (QHSE) within our offshore operations. You will work closely with a diverse, collaborative team to ensure legal compliance, lead incident management, and foster a proactive safety culture across multiple offshore wind farms. Your work will directly contribute to safe, efficient, and sustainable energy production.

Welcome to GER Hub QHSE

You’ll be part of the GER Hub QHSE team where you, together with your colleagues, will work on a 14-days-on, 14-days-off offshore rotation, collaborating closely with operational teams on our service operation vessels and across six German offshore wind farms. You’ll be responsible for driving our QHSE culture, supporting legal compliance, and ensuring continuous improvement in safety and quality practices.

As a team, we value collaboration, open communication, and continuous learning. We foster a supportive environment where you’ll have regular meetings, face-to-face crew change interactions, and team events to build strong working relationships. Our new team members receive strong onboarding support to ensure a smooth transition and fast learning curve.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • promoting and maintaining site QHSE culture by implementing and upholding relevant processes, procedures, and instructions, including the Ørsted management system
  • leading the update and follow-up of incident reporting tools, supporting local stakeholders and performing first-line quality checks on cases
  • conducting investigations and root cause analyses for incidents, document findings, and ensure effective feedback to technicians and stakeholders
  • supporting legal compliance with German HSE requirements and contribute to the execution of quality tasks, such as inspections and audits, in line with the QHSE organization’s activity plan
  • preparing and participating in drills and emergency response exercises in collaboration with operational managers and teams
  • engaging in toolbox talks, back-to-work briefings, end-of-shift meetings, and cross-site QHSE meetings, ensuring knowledge sharing and lessons learned

To succeed in the role, you:

  • demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to present subject-matter topics in a clear, professional, and accessible manner
  • have experience in QHSE functions within offshore wind, oil & gas, or comparable industries, ideally with exposure to German HSE regulations.
  • have strong understanding of German QHSE legal frameworks, management systems and incident investigation methodologies
  • are fluent in both German and English, orally and in writing.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.

You’ll work a rotation of 14 days offshore aboard service operation vessels, followed by 14 days off, with 12-hour shifts during offshore assignments.
